Remove or replace the SurveyX branding
Every survey shows a "Powered by SurveyX" credit in its footer by default. Free lets you turn that credit off. Pro goes further and lets you put your own logo there instead — plus a header logo and a site-wide default so you don't have to set it survey by survey.
Turn off the SurveyX footer credit (free)
- Open the survey and go to its General tab.
- Find Footer Branding Logo and turn the switch off.
- Click Save.
This is a real, unlocked switch in the free plugin — WordPress.org's rules mean a free plugin can't force its own credit on you, so turning it off needs no licence.
Replace it with your own logo (Pro)
Turning the footer switch off removes the SurveyX credit; it doesn't put anything in its place. To show your own mark instead:
- Open the survey's General tab and turn Footer Branding Logo on (or leave it on — it defaults to on).
- Two more fields appear: Brand Link URL (where clicking the logo takes a respondent) and Brand Logo (upload an image — SurveyX recommends a PNG or SVG around 80 px tall).
- Click Save.
The same Brand Link URL and Brand Logo fields also feed the header logo below — set them once and both slots use them.
Add a header logo (Pro)
- Open the survey's General tab.
- Find Header Branding Logo and turn it on. This shows your logo at the top left of the survey — it needs the Brand Logo field above to be set, or nothing renders.
- Click Save.
Set a site-wide default (Pro)
Instead of setting a logo on every survey, set one default that every survey without its own override uses:
- In the SurveyX admin menu, click Settings, then open the Branding panel.
- Turn Branding on.
- Set Pre-Brand Text (optional text shown before the logo), Brand Link URL, and Brand Logo (SurveyX recommends a dark PNG or SVG around 80 px tall).
A survey with its own Brand Logo set under Header or Footer Branding above keeps using that; this site-wide default only fills in for surveys that don't have one.
Settings reference
| Setting | Where | What it does | Default | Free/Pro |
|---|---|---|---|---|

| Header Branding Logo | Survey → General | On/off switch for a logo at the top left | Off (free) / On (Pro) | Pro only — locked on free |
| Brand Link URL (per survey) | Survey → General | URL opened when a respondent clicks the logo | Empty | Pro only |
| Brand Logo (per survey) | Survey → General | The image shown in the header and/or footer slot | Empty | Pro only |
| Branding (site-wide) | Settings → Branding | Master switch for the default logo used by surveys with no override | Off | Pro only |
| Brand Logo, Brand Link URL, Pre-Brand Text (site-wide) | Settings → Branding | The default logo, link and lead-in text | Empty | Pro only |
What respondents see
With the footer credit off and no replacement set, the footer's branding slot is empty where "Powered by SurveyX" used to be. With a logo set — per survey or site-wide — the same footer (and, if turned on, the header) shows your logo, linking to your Brand Link URL when clicked.

Troubleshooting
I turned Header Branding Logo on but nothing shows. The header logo needs an actual image in Brand Logo — the switch alone doesn't add one. Set the logo under Footer or Header Branding, or use the site-wide default in Settings → Branding.
I set a site-wide logo but one survey still shows something else. That survey has its own Brand Logo set under its General tab, and a per-survey logo always wins over the site-wide default.
The footer credit came back after I turned it off. Re-check Footer Branding Logo on that specific survey — the switch is per survey, so turning it off on one survey doesn't affect others.
